During the war, it was referred to as the "Victory Symphony" since V is the Roman numeral for 5. The opening phrase of "dit dit dit dah" was also used as the letter V in Morse code. The BBC would often preface broadcasts to SOE with those four notes. The pin is in good condition with light wear.

This starter worked fine when installed. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was fitment. the hole in the bell housing is slightly larger than the starter. The old starter, OEM, was a right fit. This puts all of the strain and torque of starting the engine on the two bolts that hold the starter in. I expect this to fail at some, hopefully, distant point in the car's future. In order to retorque the starter bolts, the battery and airbox have to be removed.
