Acting as a secondary spring, Belltech's microcell elastomer polymer bumpstops progressively increase in rate as they are compressed which offers a much improved feel during engagement over traditional solid polyurethane bumpstops. This statue looks great in the living room. The sunlight really makes it pop. It is heavy enough that our cat did not knock it over when rubbing on it. Since it only seems to take interest in expensive looking things, I took it as a compliment. And it is true, this piece looks fantastic. The only give away is that when you touch it, it doesn't "feel" expensive. But people (or animals) shouldn't be touching it anyway, so that isn't a problem for me!
