I did have a electric can opener before and that brand didn't really work well at all. With this one I have only opened 3 cans with it so far and it worked perfectly. The ONLY CHALLENGE I have is that it sometimes fails to stop when it should. MANUFACTURER: if you read this and have advice, please share. At this point, I'd say this is a great value for the money.
