Ein HSV-Star in Widerstand und KZDer sptere HSV Star wurde 1898 in Norwegen geboren. Er gewann bereits mit 18 Jahren mit der Mannschaft aus seiner Heimatstadt Sarpsborg den Meistertitel und wurde einer der Protagonisten des Nationalteams. 1921 zog es den Schiffsmakler aus beruflichen Grnden nach Hamburg, wo ihn der HSV unter Vertrag nahm und mit ihm als Spielgestalter zweimal deutscher Meister wurde. 1933 beendete Halvorsen seine Spielerkarriere und kehrte nach Norwegen zurck.
